Anglo Asian appoints cybersecurity expert to board

Aim-listed Anglo Asian Mining has appointed Cameron Pforr nonexecutive director effective immediately.
Pforr brings to the Azerbaijan-focused copper and gold producer considerable cybersecurity and technological expertise, having worked for highly innovative technology companies and in the global corporate finance sector.
Pforr is also currently CEO and CFO of NYSE-listed Mtron Industries, which specialises in design and manufacturing of higher-performance components for the aerospace, defence and avionics industries.
Prior to joining Mtron, he worked as president and CFO of NYSE-listed IronNet, and as president and CFO of Fidelis Cybersecurity, both of which are cybersecurity companies focused on the federal and enterprise markets.
Alongside his wealth of technology experience, Pforr brings considerable public markets, investment and advisory experience which he gained at Bain & Co, Mustang Capital Partners and Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, the former investment banking arm of Deutsche Bank.
"Anglo Asian is in the process of executing its ambitious growth strategy, and we are confident Pforr will enhance our board in pursuit of our growth targets," says Anglo Asian chairperson Khosrow Zamani.
In turn, Pforr comments that Anglo Asian holds a strong operating position, has a great asset base, and highly experienced executive and nonexecutive management teams.
- "I look forward to helping support the teams on delivering continued growth and shareholder value.”
