Finnish export credit agency to support Troilus' $155m procurement from Metso

Canadian gold and copper developer Troilus Mining Corporation has received a non-binding letter of interest from Finland's official export credit agency, Finnvera, in connection with Troilus having signed an equipment procurement deal with Metso Corporation earlier this week.
Troilus selected Metso to supply major process equipment for the Troilus project in Québec, including gyratory and cone crushers, apron and belt feeders, wet and dry screens, high pressure grinding rolls and ball mills.
Metso is already part of Troilus' detailed engineering programme for three-dimensional modelling and plant layout.
Finnvera may support financing of up to 85% of the $155-million value of the Metso deal, representing $132-million.
This provides another potential source of competitive long-term financing as Troilus advances major equipment procurement and construction readiness.
"Finnvera is already participating in our broader project financing process, and we are very pleased to see the potential scope of that relationship expand alongside our advancing procurement programme.
"This demonstrates how our procurement and financing strategies are increasingly working together and further strengthens the diversified international financing framework we are building for Troilus," says Troilus CEO and director Justin Reid.
