Forrestania expands British Hill mineral resource by 131%

Forrestania expands British Hill mineral resource by 131%
05 August 20265 Mins read

ASX-listed Forrestania Resources has expanded the mineral resources at its British Hill project, in Western Australia, by 131%, having updated the mineral resource estimate (MRE) on the project to 2.6-million tonnes grading 1.5 g/t gold for 126290 contained ounces.

The updated MRE includes 1.8-million tonnes of gold grading 1.43 g/t in the indicated category, for 86080 contained ounces - which grew by 180% compared with the prior MRE.

Forrestania recently completed a 19-hole, 4764 m drill programme and has another 100-hole drill programme approved for resource extension along strike and down dip.

The company plans to undertake conceptual mining studies, as well as metallurgical testwork to start properly defining British Hill.

"British Hill continues to expand, with a more than doubling of the previous MRE and a material increase in the proportion of higher-confidence indicated resources. The combination of resource growth, ongoing drilling success and excellent regional infrastructure positions British Hill as a key asset within our broader Forrestania gold strategy," says Forrestania chairperson David Geraghty.

He adds that with three reverse circulation rigs on site and drilling continuing, Forrestania believes there remains significant opportunity to further expand the resource base and enhance project economics as it progresses technical studies and evaluates future development pathways.
