Galantas commissions M3 to update PEA on Andacollo as restart works progress

TSX-V and Aim-listed Galantas Gold Corporation has selected M3 Engineering & Technology corporation to lead an updated preliminary economic assessment on the past-producing Andacollo gold project, in Chile, which is expected to be published in the fourth quarter.
M3 will also lead a crushing plant relocation programme from a site in Mexico to the Andacollo site in Chile.
Galantas CEO Mario Stifano confirms that Andacollo is a permitted brownfield restart project with low capital intensity, supported by an established mineral resource estimate.
Moreover, Galantas tasked NCL Ingeniería y Construcción of Chile to advance the mine design and production schedules, while a company called Stracon is providing mining cost, fleet and execution-planning input.
In parallel, Stifano says the company's project and operations team is advancing infrastructure refurbishment, procurement, contractor engagement and operational readiness at site.
The company targets a potential restart of Andacollo in the first quarter of 2027.
Fortunately, the site has existing infrastructure such as open pits, crushing areas, heap leach facilities, solution ponds, workshops, offices, site roads and an adsorption, desorption and recovery plant.
The existing site infrastructure, coupled with the moved crushing plant, is expected to lower the capital intensity to restart the Andacollo operations, shorten the restart schedule and reduce execution risk for the company.
